Christmas Angels
Angels are a sign of peace and hope. At Christ Church we have a group of knitters who produce 100s of angels each year to bring some hope and peace to the people of Braintree at Christmas time.
Our angels are collected together with those from other churches in Braintree and placed around the town by members of the Street Pastors team just before Christmas. People who find them are encouraged to post where they found the angels and what they have done with them on the Braintree Christmas Angels Facebook page.
The Christmas Angel Project is used nationally to ‘yarn bomb’ many towns in the country with knitted angels at Christmas time and has patterns for knitted and crotchet angels. It is a great way to use up scraps of wool that are not enough for larger projects.
