How do I become a Christian?

Becoming a follower of Jesus starts with a simple but serious decision which then opens up into a life of adventure and blessings.

The way to start the life of discovery is by genuinely and simply handing your life over to God. The Bible says quite clearly that…‘If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved’

The first step is to tell God that you are sorry for the times when you have messed up or gone the wrong way [our sins]. The second is to believe that Jesus came and died as a sacrifice to pay the cost of your sin. Finally, make an agreement with God that you will do all you can to follow Christ Jesus.

Prayer to start the adventure…

Eternal God, I am so sorry for the things that I have done wrong in my life.
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on a cross in my place.
I would like to make a new start by receiving the gift of Your forgiveness that Jesus made possible for me.
Please take hold of my life and come and live Your life of adventure and power in me for ever.
Thank You for hearing this prayer and answering it.
